Press Release 2/06:
Talking bus may help save children’s lives.
Columbus, OH—Dean Rose, founder of Transportation Safety Products, LTD., recently announced the introduction of the company's revolutionary Child Safety Alarm System for school buses.
The Child Safety Alarm System is an advanced voice alarm system that actually talks to and alerts the children getting onto or departing from a school bus with three distinct, clear and loud voice messages that include:
1) “Stay back! Stay back, until the bus stops!”
2) “Look to the driver for a signal to exit or enter the bus. Watch your step!”
3) “Warning! Stand back! Stand back! This bus is about to move!”
Additionally, the Child Safety Alarm System can be installed on any make and model of existing school bus in as little as 15 minutes, is very cost effective, simple to operate and can be programmed in any language.
According to Rose, “Wherever school buses operate, there is a risk that children can be hurt or killed in the danger zone, a 10' perimeter around the curbside by the bus. Every year, children lose their lives because they didn’t know the bus was coming or going. In fact, according to the Annual National School Bus Loading & Unloading Survey, there has been nearly a 300 percent increase in deaths over the previous four-year average.” Rose continues, “Furthermore, in the event of an accident, bus drivers as well as the school system can face emotional and financial ruin. Now, we can change that. By easily adapting school buses with the Child Safety Alarm System, schools can save lives and lower their liability.”
The Child Safety Alarm System is approved for use in 23 U.S. states with additional approvals pending in 10 states.
